Originally from Portsmouth, Lyn attended Bristol University (BSc Psychology) and London University (Dip.Ed). After teaching in a troubled area of London, Lyn moved into social work and later joined Kent Social Services (Child Welfare/Protection) until her retirement.
Lyn moved to Headcorn in 1972 with her husband Martin, and all of their children were born here and attended the local school, of which Lyn is a School Governor.
In 1976 she was asked to stand as a Parish Councillor and was duly elected. During her time on Headcorn PC Lyn has worked on all the committees and many of the working groups. Having served as Vice Chair for a number of years, she has been Chair since 2012.
“Apart from Headcorn, my passion is for gardening, current affairs and my family -not necessarily in that order.”
