Susie Barkess’ family have been residents of Headcorn since the 1930’s. Susie was born and raised in the Village, married in Headcorn and has two children and five grandchildren in the Village, all 3 generations attended Headcorn primary School and so have strong links to the Village, even as children.
Susie has worked in Office Administration for the majority of her working life. She started in the Halifax and after the birth of her first child went on to work in the Village Greengrocers and the Bakers before returning to Administration roles for a Community Care Company.
The day Susie was made redundant from the Care Company she saw the advert for the Assistant Parish Clerks job, decided this was serendipity, and applied. She brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience in Admin and Office processes, including secretarial skills, Shorthand and accounting knowledge.
“I love Headcorn and am proud to be a resident of this Beautiful Village of ours and am excited to help the Council with its projects!”
